The Federation assist in paying for Cambermet & Chimet Upgrade

Solentmet Support Group (SSG) have been providing invaluable real-time weather information here in Chichester Harbour and for local boat owners from their two stations located here in Chichester Harbour and on 'West Pole.'

Now after many years of service to the boating community SSG are upgrading and future proofing the free to public data provided on their website. The current system transmits data using VHF radio which will in future take advantage of G4 & G5 cellular technology while stored information is moving away from in house servers to using the public cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure.

To assists with this transition the Chichester Harbour Federation are pleased to donate £2,000 to ensure this service for the boating community continues.

What's happening on the water this year?
Dinghy, Rowing & Cruiser Events 2024

Before every new season the Federation coordinates the Chichester Harbour sailing calendar with all our clubs. The 2024 fixtures of all the important events are now available on the Fed's website: 'Dinghy, Rowing & Cruiser Events 2024'.

Rowing continues to grow in popularity with increasing competition amongst our clubs, so this year we have also included these fixtures in the calendar.

We encourage all harbour users to get out on the water and support each other's events.
