It's not long now until sailing events start in 2026 and we have lots of on the water events planned.
Come and join us in the bar area at 8pm on Friday 24 April for an early season get together. Meet members of the Sailing Committee to ask any questions you have about the coming season. All welcome, especially our new members.
All events and duties are now in the calendar so please volunteer - we need your help.
Other key dates for your diary include:
- Sun 22 March; Shakedown Sail in company check your boat is ready for the season.
- Fri 3 and Sat 4 April; Easter dinghy race series.
- Mon 4 May; Pro-Am racing a great way to learn about racing/ gain more race experience.
- Sun 31 May; LSC's 80th anniversary; including Hudson Cup fun seamanship event and SUP/Kayak relay.
- Sat 13 Sun 14 June; Cobnor Sail and Camp Sail to Cobnor on the Chidham Peninsula, camp and sail back. Early booking required - please register your interest here.
- Sat 20 June; Try-a-boat; learn where to find the club equipment and how to rig the boats, then try them out on the water (Please contact Sailing Sec if you can help demonstrate rigging or taking people out) .
- Sat 4 July; Regatta /Prentice Plate; Flagship open event with 2 races.
- Sat 8 Aug; Priority Potter; Sail to the Isle of Wight for the day. Open to dinghies and cruisers.
- Sat 19 Sept; Barts Bash; fun charity race.
