Langstone Sailing Club is offering a talk from Paul Young on the history of the Kench.

The Kench, a small tidal inlet off Langstone Harbour enclosed by a spit of land at the west end of Hayling Island.

The talk includes the history around the South West peninsular of Hayling Island from the mid eighteen hundreds.

Many of the buildings and structures built from that time still exist today.

Knowing the history, they make an enjoyable day of exploration finishing at the Ferry Boat Inn.

This takes place on Friday 24thJanuary from 7:00 to 8:00pm

This should be of interest to many of our members.
