Race: ProAm Mini Series

Due to covid we are looking to do something slightly different to the published pro - am this Saturday as we can't mix and match people in boats as we normally would.
We thought it would be good to encourage as many people to join in as possible, in particular those who have limited race experience or never raced before. We therefore hope to do a land based session before going on the water to explain what the flags mean and how the start works, explain the course and answer any questions.
As the racing is due to start at 1pm, it would be good to start this briefing at 11.30am then rig boats to be out promptly to do a practice race at 1, hopefully followed by a couple of further short races. We hope to have several patrol boats out to give advice on the water as needed.
This would be classified as a coaching event so club boats can be used without paying the usual fee but they do still need to be booked.
Hope to see as many people as possible on Saturday, both new and experienced racers (please note it is each sailor's decision to go out on the water so please ensure you are comfortable launching, going through the blocks and doing basic manoeuvres).
